The Bakersfield National Cemetery Support Committee exists to provide backing to our new Bakersfield National Cemetery, a resting place for our nation’s heroes.
The general membership meets quarterly at the Veterans' Service Center, 1120 Golden State Avenue, Bakersfield, California. Please visit our calendar page for meeting dates and times.
We are a 501c(3) non-profit organization providing volunteers with a unique opportunity to become a part of history as the National Cemetery is built as a Shrine dedicated to our fallen heroes. There are many different committees that a volunteer may be involved in including: Memorial Walkway, Friends of Fallen Heroes, Flags and special programmed events like Memorial Day. If you are interested in watching over our nations heroes, give us a call and together we can honor the veterans who have honored us.
We hold a great fund-raiser on Tejon Ranch in early August of each year. This year we anticipate hosting approximately 200 people, for the "Barbeque on The Ranch." That includes the 16 who were the successful bidders on a half-day four-wheel-drive tour of the ranch.
So mark your calendar. We will be replicating that event on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 5:00pm! Click here to purchase barbeque tickets.
Our activity was recognized on the front page of The Bakersfield Californian on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Click to see the article: BACKCOUNTRY BEAUTY OF TEJON RANCH
